Aged sipping tequilas
A good bit of age softens the burn of these tequilas and adds whisky like notes from the bourbon barrels used.
Don Julio Anejo - Aged highland 100% agave azul tequila, smooth vanilla, orange and bourbon notes. Great sipper - £3.85
Herradura Gran Imperio - 'Rested' lowland 100% agave azul tequila, herbaceous, smooth and agave led - £3.95
Great unaged sipping tequilas
Unaged or Blanco pure agave tequilas have the strongest agave taste - most afficionados prefer blancos, although after dinner an anejo or extra anejo is perfect.
Tapatio Blanco - Big, fruity highland agave flavours.100% agave azul - £2.95
Arrette Blanco - Smooth, subtle grassy lowland taste with agave shining through, ideal for those who think they don't like tequila. 100% agave azul - £3.15
Liqueurs
Patron XO Café - Hugely popular tequila coffee liqueur, delicious. Forget Kahluah, this is the daddy of coffee liqueurs £3.25
Hacienda de Chihuahua Crema de Sotol - Cream liqueur made with sotol distilled from wild 'desert spoon' agave. Like mexican bailey's but much much better. £3.25
Santa Teresa Rhum Orange Liqueur - Oranges macerated in Venezuelan rum, sweetened with estate grown cane. Like a rum Grand Marnier but orangier and much more accessible. £3.25
Ron Los Valientes - 15 Year Old Mexican rum named after the fighters in the Mexican Revolution. Chocolatey gingery rummy goodness. £3.25
